About 100 players including several non-Terengganu participants. Below are the top 25 seeded participants headed by Soon Wai Cheong. Non-Terengganu players dominate the top 10 seedings.

Based on below Round 5 pairings from chess-results.com, three players have the full 4 points entering the fifth round. They are the top seed, Wai Cheong, Abdullah Che Hassan and Kamaluddin Yusof. Can they hold on until the final round? Who will lose point? Is one of the three full pointers will finally be crowned the champion? Or can the defending champion win again this time? We'll find out the answers after the tournament completes later today (Saturday). Good Luck to all the participants!
